T Alun Evans CMG


Alun Evans served in what became the Foreign and Commonwealth office, serving abroad in Rangoon, Singapore, Geneva and Pretoria. Latterly, he served as Director responsible for IT and Communications in London. After leaving the FCO he advised international airlines such as British Airways on international affairs. From 2001 to 2012 he was a non-executive director of JP Morgan (Fleming) Asian Investment Trust and has been Vice Chairman of the British Iranian Chamber of Commerce for over a decade.

Alun was educated at University College, Oxford and held a commission in the King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry. He was appointed a Companion of the Order of St. Michael and St. George in 2004.
